MY STORY
Hello, I’m Kate! I am an elementary school counselor from NW Ohio and have worked in the field of education since 2007. I began my career as a classroom teacher and quickly realized that my favorite part of the job was empowering children to feel good about themselves. Now, as a dually licensed counselor, I enjoy working both in and outside of the school setting to help equip children with social-emotional tools to use in their everyday lives. I am passionate about designing high-quality resources that help counselors save time as they educate and inspire children. I am also skilled in helping counselors with technology integration, organizational skills, and classroom management. I am very grateful for the opportunity to have my resources impact children around the world. I am looking forward to connecting with you!

I have experience working as a child therapist at a private practice. I love working with families and equipping them with the tools needed to take on life's challenges. My clinical specialties include play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused counseling, bibliotherapy, sand tray therapy, and behavior management.
I have taught kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. Second graders were my sweet spot! I loved using children's literature to teach my students life lessons. Turns out, I was teaching classroom counseling lessons prior to becoming a counselor!
I am a school therapy dog mom. My school received Luna, a golden retriever, in 2019. She spent two years in training prior to being placed at my school. She has lots of energy, is both brilliant and stubborn, and is amazing with the kids!
I love traveling and learning about other cultures. Some of my favorite places I've traveled to include Ghana, Puerto Rico, and Red Rock Canyon. I have also been blessed to teach abroad in both Ghana and El Salvador.
These are a few of my favorite things... gardening, house plants, being out in nature, documentaries, art/design, good conversations, learning new things, oceans, playing board games, listening to music, cats, great coffee, funny TikToks, and helping others
